Marilyn Kaye Brugh Adkins, age 74, of Williamsport, KY, passed away Thursday evening, October 30, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on March 2, 1951, in Paintsville, KY, to the late Raymond and Jewell Estep Brugh. On March 1, 1977, she married James Henry Adkins, who preceded her in death on October 13, 2018. Additionally, preceding her in death is one daughter: Kelli Jean McCarty Castle.
Survivors include: two sons, David Jeffrey (Stephanie) McCarty of Blaine, KY, Eric (Megan) Adkins of Williamsport, KY; two sisters: Phyllis (Doug) Horn of Lexington, KY, Regina Blair of Mt. Carmel, IL; nine grandchildren, Isaac, Emma, Garrett, Nathanael, Cassie, Chance, Xander, Josh; and two great-grandchildren, Ryker, and AJ.
Kaye was a devoted OB nurse in Paintsville, and anytime she saw one of the individuals she helped deliver, she proudly pointed them out to her family.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 12 Noon, Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Eric Adkins and Gary Blair officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of services at 12 Noon.
