Martha Conley, age 94, of Hilltop Road, Nippa, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Martha was born June 09, 1929 to the late Hollie Lemaster and Nancy Meade Lemaster. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Kenneth Conley; four brothers, Melvin Lemaster, Arnold Lemaster, Jesse Lemaster and Elmer Lemaster, two sisters Merle Vanhoose and Grace Lemaster.

Martha is survived, by one sister, Ruby Doyle of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one son, Danny Keith Conley and wife Christy of Nippa, Kentucky; two daughters, Rosetta Preston of Nippa, Kentucky and Anita Frazier of Nippa, Kentucky; one grandson, Marvin Nathaniel Preston of Oil Springs, Kentucky; three granddaughters, Dawn Nicole Vanhoose (Nathaniel) of Oil Springs, Kentucky, Ericka Danae Ferguson (Jordan) of Nippa, Kentucky and Hilaree Noele Frazier (Mallory) of Lexington, Kentucky. one great-granddaughter, River Danae Ferguson; two sister-in-law, Rouie Vanhoose (Melvin) of Nippa, Kentucky and Phyllis Pickle of Nippa, Kentucky. She also loved her step-grandchildren, Christy Frazier Palm (James) of Chicago, Illinois, Joseph Kendrick (Sabrah) and Kennidy of Findlay, Ohio, Whitney Burton (Chris) of Flat Gap, Kentucky, Keisha Dawn Hall (Buddy and Hayden) of Salyersville, Kentucky and Alvin Ryan Fletcher (Lauren and August) of Paintsville, Kentucky and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Martha was a homemaker most all of her life and loved taking care of her home and family. In her younger days, she was a salesperson for the Fashion Frock clothing company and also worked as a Library Aide at W.R Castle Elementary. Martha enjoyed sewing and made clothes for her children when they were younger and for her grandchildren's dolls. She was a good baker- especially her lemon pies which everyone loved. She also like working puzzles, playing scrabble and checkers, and when younger playing badminton and horseshoes. She loved pretty flowers and the sunny state of Florida where she traveled to often with her daughter, Rosetta. She also liked to have her nails painted and her hair styled.

Martha was a member of the Low Gap United BaptistChurch, she was saved on August 27th 1949 at Low Gap then baptized the following Sunday, she was the oldest surviving member there. She was a sweet little lady who never had an unkind word to say about anybody and everybody who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is no longer suffering and is in a better place now.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie officiating.  Burial will follow in the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, September 29, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
