Mary Anna McKenzie Crace, age 74, of New Tazewell, TN, formerly of Paintsville, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was born on October 28, 1951, in Dayton, OH, to the late Charles and Georgene Trimble McKenzie. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Gena Price.
On May 15, 1971, in Oil Springs, she married John Phillip Crace, who survives. Additional survivors include one son, Dr. Phillip (Amy) Crace of Bluffton, SC; one daughter, Elizabeth (Steven) Fisher of Sadieville, KY; one brother, Michael McKenzie of Louisville, KY; three sisters: Elaine Tyree of Frenchburg, KY, Melinda McKenzie of Lexington, KY, Lora Gullet of Morehead, KY; five grandchildren: Charlie, Abby, Will, Jack, and Jackson.
Mrs. Crace was a retired former educator with both the Johnson County School System and the Paintsville Independent School System.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral services at 1 P.M.
