Mary Francis Wireman Blanton, age 90, of Flat Gap, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Highlands ARH.

Mary was born July 9, 1934 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Luster Wireman and Pearl Conley Wireman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Edgar Wireman and Harmon "Doc" Wireman, and one sister, Ruby Ernestine Preston.

She is survived by two sons, James Harold "Jimmy" Blanton of Columbus, Ohio and Donald Lee Blanton of Lexington, Kentucky; one daughter, Diana Sue Blanton of Flat Gap, Kentucky; one grandchild, Stephanie Rae (Keith) Fitch; two great grandchildren, Kody Fitch and Makayla Fitch; and one great-great grandchild, Aubree Daniels.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Denvil Mollett officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
