Matthew Daniels, age 75 of Stambaugh, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Highlands ARH, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Matthew was born August 22, 1945 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, son of the late Lewis Conley and Versie Elizabeth Adams Daniels.  He is preceded in death by one son, Matthew "June Bug" Daniels JR, and eighteen siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Burchett Daniels, two daughters, Brenda (James) Irene Daniels Blair, and LouAnn (Jason) Daniels King.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon, Thursday, June 24, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Mitch Spradlin and William Paul Castle officiating.  Burial will follow in the Daniels Family Cemetery, Burchett Hollow, Stambaugh, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon.
