McKinley "Kenny" Collett, age 79, of Denver, Kentucky, passed away Monday August 16, 2021 at his home.

Kenny was born May 19, 1942 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Charles and Gladys Collett.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sue Blair Collett; two sons, David Collett of Denver, Kentucky and Brian Michael Collett and wife Vickie of Minford, Ohio; one daughter, Andrea Bennett and husband Donnie of Denver, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Devaney Collett, Ty Collett, Brooke Collett, Ashley Collett, Skyler Bennett, Logan Bennett, Audrey Bennett, Ashley Allard, Heather Jenkins and Danielle Blackburn; five great grandchildren; one brother, George Collett and wife Dana of Paintsville, Kentucky; one sister, Elizabeth Sue Blair of Pataskala, Ohio; four sister-in-laws, Anna Cochran, Velma May, Dana Collett and Lori Blair; one brother-in-law, James H. Blair; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Kenny spent most of his life in sales. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After retiring, he loved to talk about and run his bird dogs in field trails as often as he could.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Collett Family Cemetery, Paintsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
