Merle Little, age 77, of Nippa, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on March 24, 1949, in Floyd County to the late Lish and Flora Click Little.

On September 18, 1971, in Prestonsburg, he married Mary Reynolds Little, who survives. Additional survivors include one son, Todd (Miranda) Little of Nippa; one brother, Jesse (Elsie) Little of Wheelwright; two sisters, Peggy Holbrook of Wheelwright, Rena Mae Taylor of Fleming-Neon; and one grandson, Matthew Little II.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home, with Clay Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at the Richmond Cemetery in Prestonsburg. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M.; on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 12 P.M. until 8 P.M.; and on Saturday from 9 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11 A.M.
