Merzie Lewis, age 85, of Boons Camp, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2025, at Mountain Manor of Paintsville.

She was born August 26, 1940, in Red Bush, KY, to the late Chrley and Terri Rowland Pennington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lewis.

She is survived by one sister, Paulette McKenzie of Flat Gap, KY, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Dennie Pigg Cemetery, Boons Camp, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, 17, 2025.
