James Michael "Mike" Lyons, age 65, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at his home.

Mike was born December 2, 1956 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of  Frank Lloyd Lyons and late Maudie Lorraine Standford Lyons. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Gary Lyons.

He is survived by his father, Frank Lyons of Staffordsville, KY; one son, David Lloyd Lyons, of Hager Hill, KY; one daughter, Heather Chevelle Lyons; one brother, Ricky (Ashley) Lyons of Paintsville, KY;  five nieces, Madison and Erica Lyons both of Paintsville, KY, Kansas Lyons of Meally, KY and Kendra(Kraig Shireman)Lyons of Thelma, KY and Martina Hammond; three great-nephews, Tristan Castle, of Pikeville, KY, Kyler Huber and Kaison Shireman both of Thelma, KY; four great-nieces, Kinsley Shireman, of Thelma, KY, Karley and Karmyn Reed, of Meally, KY and Tracey Lawwill of Paintsville, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Lyons Family Cemetery, Hager Hill, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022.
