Nellie VanHoose, age 92, of Stambaugh, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 13, 2020 at the home of her son.

Nellie was born October 22, 1928 in Boyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Dewey Church and Julie Scarberry Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jim VanHoose, one son, Russell VanHoose and one daughter Linda Baker.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Carol) VanHoose, Clarence VanHoose and Eddie VanHoose; one daughter, Mary Daniels; thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Tim Salyer officiating. Burial will follow at the VanHoose Cemetery, Nelson Branch, Lowmansville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020.
