Patricia Arden Gallione, (nee: Patricia Arden Ward) from Pigeon Roost, Kentucky, passed away on October 26, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Eugene V. Ward, a Kentucky State Highway Department Foreman (who was a decorated War Veteran serving as a Medic in WWII) and the late Garnet M. Ward, a Special Education Teacher at WR Castle Elementary School in Johnson County, Kentucky.
Patricia graduated Meade Memorial High School, in Williamsport, Kentucky Class of 1960, and graduated from Mayo College with a degree in Business in 1962. Later in 1962, she became an Administrator for the Foreign Exchange Division of the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C., during the John F. Kennedy Administration and left the employment of the Federal Government in 1963 under the Lyndon B. Johnson Administration. Patricia then relocated to Northeastern NJ where she gave birth to her only child Richard Kevin in 1964. Later Patricia became divorced and went to work at Gallione Detective Agency, Inc., in Hackensack, New Jersey as an Administrative Assistant. She ultimately re-married Robert J. Gallione I, and remained in New Jersey happily married raising her family which consisted of her son Richard Kevin and her step-daughter Marylou (whom all considered that no "step" existed due to the extremely loving and close relationship that they all have maintained through life). In 1980, Patricia's husband Robert J. Gallione I, passed away and she assumed the corporate role of President of Gallione Detective Agency, Inc., headquartered in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, through 1987, when she merged the firm with her son's company, Gallione Security Services Inc., headquartered in New York City, NY. Patricia and Richard Kevin then continued on with a very successful business venture to acquire Brand Name Clients such as; Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, YSL, DKNY, FENDI, GITANO, Karl Lagerfeld, Izod/LaCoste, Liz Claiborne, The TRUMP Organization, The Fred C. Trump Organization, Volvo American Motor Cars, Toyota, Seaboard Corp, Maersk Lines, United Parcel Service, NBC, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Columbia Hospital Group, Microsoft, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Customs & Border Patrol Service amongst countless other Clients. In 1990, after an expansion of the Business to south Florida, Patricia remained as President with her son Richard Kevin working alongside her as Chairman & CEO until 1998 when the company was sold to Borg-Warner Security Corporation, (at the time) the largest publicly traded security firm in the USA owning brands such as Wells Fargo Guard Services, Burn's International, Pony Express, Loomis Fargo, and Globe Security to name a few. The business enterprise Patricia Arden Gallione was so instrumental in building still remains operating in the USA today under the Brand of SECURITAS which has Annual Revenue in North America of $5.2 Billion and over 370,000 employees.
In addition to the above, Patricia maintained many impressive Organization positions over the years including having served in many roles of the Private Detective Association of New Jersey, Inc., (where she became the First Woman President of that prestigious non-profit entity). That entity is now named The New Jersey Licensed Private Investigators Association, Inc., and it proudly displays the name of Patricia A. Gallione as a former President as well as her late husband, Robert J. Gallione I, as a former President (who co-founded the Organization and was its 1
st
President).
After retirement, Patricia met and shared a 20 year personal relationship with her life partner Eddie Heims that they both cherished enjoying a great life splitting their time between residences in Florida and Kentucky, until Eddie's passing in 2019.
Patricia Arden Gallione is missed by too many individuals to name in friends and family!
Patricia is survived by her son Richard K. Gallione Sr., (her daughter in law Loridana Gallione), her step-daughter Marylou Gallione Nicoletti (her loving boyfriend Anthony Alfano), her Grandsons Richard K. Gallione Jr. (his loving girlfriend Zoe Chaitoff), Robert J. Gallione II (and his loving girlfriend Kira Madlin).
Patricia's loving sisters include; Phoebe Jane (Ward) DelBoccio (and her loving husband Frank DelBoccio), Linda Kaye Ward, Joan M. (Ward) Daniels, and her deceased siblings are Deborah (Ward) Henry Pelphrey, John W. Ward and Eugene A. Ward.
Patricia is also survived by countless loving nephews and nieces that include; Tracy Henry Farley (Brad, and Family), Lisa McCarthy (Wil, and Family), Kerry Conn (Linda, and Family), Christy Henry (David, and Family), Joshua "LEVY" Daniels (Cynthia, and Family), Becky (Ward) Stambaugh (Chris, and Family), Whitney (Henry) Patton (and Family), Timothy "ANDY" Daniels (and Family), Amanda (Henry) Blevins, (John Rubin, and Family), Joel A. Ward (Dani, and Family), Jessica Ward (and Family), and countless other beloved relatives and friends throughout the KY, WV, NJ, FL, the entire United States of America and abroad to include her cherished loving relatives in Ireland.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Family has announced that due to the COVID Virus, all the safety concerns and difficulties of traveling that there will be (2) delayed Memorial Services which will be "CELEBRATIONS OF LIFE" for PATRICIA ARDEN GALLIONE. Both dates will be announced to occur with (1) CELEBRATION OF LIFE in Eastern Kentucky and (1) CELEBRATION OF LIFE in South Florida. The Family will keep everyone updated as to the dates and locations, however there will be no in person viewing or any in-person Memorial Service offered by Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville, Kentucky for PATRICIA ARDEN GALLIONE.
Additionally, the Family has asked that instead of sending flowers, or arrangements of any kind, that instead you make a like donation to either the Salvation Army in Paintsville, Kentucky or the Broward Outreach Center (in an assistance to feed people in need) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
