Paul Dean Hackney, age 85, of Lowmansville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at The Jordan Center, Louisa, KY.

Paul was born May 6, 1935 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Charles and Zee Hackney.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Hackney, fifteen brothers and sisters, and one grandchild Joey and one great grandchild Bash.

He is survived by three sons, Paul (Lorene) Hackney, Hager D. (Darlene) Hackney and James K. (Tonya) Hackney; two daughters, Shara L. (Drexel) Smith and Donna Hughes; twelve grandchildren Shane, Josh, Chase, Tabitha, Tosha, Hager, Bradley, Alicia, Nick, Kecia, Cody and Kayla.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at Hackney Family Cemetery, Hackney Hollow, Lowmansvile, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
