Paula Jean Grim, age 69, of Paintsville, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on October 11, 1957, in Paintsville to the late Ishmael and Estelle Daniel Grim.

Survivors include two daughters: Johnna Gibson Moore (Alan Smyth) of Richmond, Brea (Rick) Green of Richmond; one brother: Mark (Judy) Grim of Paintsville; one sister: Donna Baldwin of Zephyr Hills, FL; seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Paula retired as a 911 Dispatcher for the City of Paintsville and worked as a Court Security Officer for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, birdwatching, and working puzzles.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home, with Seth Carter officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1 P.M.
