Paula Marie Messer Newberry, age 78, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Paula was born November 18, 1943, daughter of the late Paul David Messer and Ellen Wills Messer.

She is survived by her husband, Claude Martin Newberry; son, Martin David Newberry; daughter, Julie Newberry Judd; brother, William David Messer; and four grandchildren, Andrew Judd, Adam Judd, Alex Judd, and Aaron Judd.

Paula was a retired beautician.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Combs officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Cemetery, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
