Paula Sue Randolph Smith, age 87, of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Highlands ARH.

Paula was born November 14, 1938 in River Junction, Michigan daughter of the late Howard Randolph and Leah Isham Randolph. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Sam" Smith, Jr.; one daughter, Teri Varela; three brothers, Terry Randolph, Jean Randolph, and Don Randolph; and two sisters, Phyllis Mentick and Pat Reese.

Paula is survived by one daughter, Tommie (Robert) Norman of Jackson, Michigan; one son-in-law, Victor Varela of Ronda, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Adair, Samuel Norman, and Daniel (Cayli) Norman; and seven great-grandchildren, Ellie Adair, Abbie Adair, Levi Adair, Macie Adair, Haylie Adair, Blakely Norman, and Charley Norman.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026 at Victorious Faith Church with Pastor Jason Adair officiating. Burial will follow in the Branham Family Cemetery, Martin, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, July 10, 2026 at Victorious Faith Church from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
