Priscilla Rae Penix, age 75, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, formerly of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at her residence.

Priscilla was born February 3, 1948 in Paintsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James and Lydia Branham Penix. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Dimple Sue Penix and one brother, Jimmy Leonard Penix.

She is survived by one son, David Allen (Karrie) McGarey of Copperas cove, Texas; twin daughters, Pamela Kaye (Jeff Wittman) McGarey of Casstown, Ohio and Paula Renee (Gary) Castle of Taylorsville, Kentucky; one brother, Lonnie Lee (Candy) Penix of Seattle, Washington; eleven grandchildren, Tyler, Callie, Ely, Gannon, Brittany, Ryan, Kaleigh, Madison, Emily, Taylor, and Rachel; five great grandchildren, Ian, Ethan, Aiden, Jakeb and Kaleb; and her best friend canine companion, Tony.

Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Zach Parrigan officiating. Burial will be in the Penix Family Cemetery, Boons Camp, Kentucky. A Time of Reflection will be held from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023.
