Visitation: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022

Burial: Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky

Richard B. Williams, age 91, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Highlands ARH.

Richard Williams was born November 1, 1930 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Ralph Beecher Williams and Linchie Sublett Williams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ellen Jean Franklin Williams; one grandson Franklin Thomas Williams; one sister Marjorie Compton; and one niece Brenda Kay Compton.

He is survived by one son, Eddie B. Williams (Johnna Lynn) of Paintsville, Kentucky; three grandsons Eddie B. Williams, Jr. and wife Sherry, Ricky Williams and wife Rachel and Sam Williams and fiancée, Jordan Adams; seven great grandchild, Santanna Williams, Harleigh Jo Williams, Jessie Hackworth, Shelly Ousley, Alexis Williams, Morgan Williams and Pyper Williams; three great-great grandchild, Madison, McKynzie and Lakyn; thought of like a son, Southie Fannin, Jr.; and close friend Roger Hammonds.

Richard pastored the Rockhouse Free Will Baptist Church for 51 years. Richard was a true man of God. Everyone that knew Richard, loved the man he was.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Southie Fannin Jr., Aaron Penix, Eddie B. Williams, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022.
