Richmond Saylor, age 90, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Paintsville ARH Regional Medical Center.

He was born on April 7, 1936, in Greenrock, Kentucky, to the late Lewis Martin Saylor and Eva Pennington Saylor. Richmond was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired TV repairman for Montgomery Ward.

He is survived by his sons, William Darrell Saylor, Richard Lee Saylor, and Michael Saylor, all of Ohio; his daughters, Vicky McCleese of Ohio and Rissa Saylor of Ohio; and his sisters, Melvina Tackett of Nippa, Kentucky, Janie (Steve) Nicely of Cambridge, Ohio, and Shirley (Dave) Wellman of Indiana. Richmond is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Melvidine Saylor, and his son, Robert Lewis Saylor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Freddy Salyers officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Staffordsville, Kentucky.

Friends may visit the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 24, 2026, and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 25, 2026.
