Rita Nichols Allen (age 75) of Salyersville, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 12, 2022. Rita was born in Paintsville, Kentucky, on February 15, 1947, to the late Edward and Rusha (Witten)Nichols. Also preceded in death was her longtime companion Robert (Bob) Allen, Grove City, Ohio.

Rita is survived by her Son: Scott (Sheila) Mckenzie, Centerburg, Ohio; Robert Allen, Grove City, Ohio. Sister: Dianna (Mike) Carr, Lexington, Kentucky. Brothers: Carl (Marcia) Nichols, Yorktown, Virginia, and Tom Nichols, Douglasville, Georgia. Grandchildren: Tyler Mckenzie, (Alayna Trott fiance') Cardington, Ohio; Russell Allen and James Allen, Grove City, Ohio.  Along with several nieces and nephews. Rita had a buoyant personality and loved playing Bingo and Rook with friends. Rita's favorite love was singing classic country and western songs anytime she had the opportunity.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon with funeral service immediately following in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Stanley Blevins, Paintsville Church of Christ, will officiate.
