Rita Sue King Bowen, age 61, of Sitka, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024 at Highlands ARH.

Rita was born May 8, 1963 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late William R. King and Anna Mae Salyer King. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Bowen.

She is survived by four sisters, Lillian Pauline Cantrell of Nippa, Kentucky, Anita King Bowen of Flat Gap, Kentucky, Henrietta Blevins of Sitka, Kentucky and Delphia Boggs of River, Kentucky; one brother, William Oakley King of Lowmansville, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen Family Cemetery, Flat Gap, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2024 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024.
