Roger Dean Blair, age 85, of East Point, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Prestonsburg Health Care Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Roger was born December 16, 1936 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Wiley Blair and Eula Hannah Blair.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Blair, and one sister, Jearlean Donley.

He is survived by three sons, Joe Hopper and wife Lisa of New Port Richey, FL., Doug Hopper and wife Paula of Sarasota, FL., and Greg Hopper and wife Lisa of East Point, KY; one daughter, Vanessa Dials and husband Jimmy of East Point, KY; one sister, Thelma Murray of Paintsville, KY;  six grandchildren, Brenton Dials, Jeremy Hopper, Jayme Rice, Kristi Cottingham, Olivia Caudill, and Dalton Hopper, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jeff White officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022, and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
