Roger Lee O'Bryan, age 79, of Hager Hill, passed away Monday morning, June 8, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on August 30, 1946, in Paintsville to the late Ervin K. and Opal May O'Bryan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Tim Kirk, four brothers, and two sisters.

On June 19, 1969 in Clintwood, VA, Roger married Dianna Castle O'Bryan who survives. Additional survivors include one daughter, Lee Ann (Kristy) O'Bryan; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Kirk; one brother, Rick Allen (Anita) O'Bryan; three grandchildren: Brianna (Noah) Stallins, Bailey Haynes, Wade Perry; along with a host of additional loved ones and friends who loved him immeasurably.

Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great friend to all he encountered. He will forever be remembered by his hard work ethic and how he always provided for his family.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Jerry Colvin, Travis Blair, and Randy Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday, June 9, 2026 and on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of the funeral services at 2 P.M.
