Roger Lee Owens, age 74, of Oil Springs, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Claiborne Medical Center, Tazewell, Tennessee.

Roger was born May 10, 1948 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Jeff and Josephine Lemaster Owens. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Pamela Lou Blanton Owens.

He is survived by his son, Willie Lee (Jessica) Owens of Oil Springs, Kentucky; two daughters, Penelope Leigh (Dawn) Sosko of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Elizabeth  Anne (Bryan) Auxier of Paintsville, Kentucky; one sister, Joanna Owens, of Paintsville, Kentucky; one brother, Bobby (Brenda) Owens, of Moultrie, Georgia; six grandchildren, James Fernandez, Abby Auxier, Hope Auxier, Kaleb Auxier, Lillian Owens and Gideon Owens and also a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Brian DeWire and Bryan Auxier officiating. Burial will follow at Blanton Family Cemetery, Win Road, Oil Springs, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022  and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022.

Paintsville Masonic Loge 381 F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic Rites at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022  at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
