Ronnie Dye, age 65, of Flat Gap, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Ronnie was born February 16, 1959 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Henry Dye and Lorraine Preston Dye. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Danny Dye and one sister, Darlene Osborne.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald Gene (Holly) Dye of Jacksonville, Florida and Daivd Aaron (Jennifer) Dye of Flat Gap, Kentucky; former spouse, Patty Bowen; one step son, Gary Michael Fairchild of Van Lear, Kentucky; three step daughters, Samatha McQueen of Paintsville, Kentucky, Sabrina Fairchild of Flat Gap, Kentucky and Kristina Fairchild of Lawrence County, Kentucky; girlfriend, Robin Fairchild of Flat Gap, Kentucky; one brother, Jimmy Dye of Hager Hill, Kentucky; three sisters, Maggie Medicus of Thealka, Kentucky, Tammy Lowe of Hager Hill, Kentucky, Florine Spencer of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Jacob Dye, Tyler Dye, Hudson Dye, McKinly Dye, Kaylee McQueen, Amelia Dye and Lincoln Dye; and two great grandchildren, Hayes Dye and Willow Dye.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Kevin Johnson officiating. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
