Ronnie Ray "Lumberjack" Thompson, age 68, of Lowmansvile, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home.

Ronnie was born November 2, 1952 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, son of the late Hobart and Ethel Pack Thompson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Ray Thompson II and three brothers, Denver, Escom, and Bobby Thompson.

He is survived by one daughterTabitha (Junior) Charles of Lowmansville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, LB (Sami) Charles, Tasha (Nathaniel) Pack, Amanda Jean Charles, James Ray Charles, Aleena Ruble, Amber Marie Thompson, and Haylie Thompson; two sisters, Janice Moore and Maxine (John) Cade all of Louisa, Kentucky; two brothers, Bruce (Donna) Thompson and Arnold Thompson all of Louisa, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Charles Cemetery, Nelson Branch, Lowmansville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020.
