Roy Douglas Ramey, age 71, of Sitka, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at Highlands ARH.

Roy was born April 29, 1950 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, son of the late Green and Carrie Osborne Ramey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Proctor David Ramey, James Ramey, Johnny Ramey and Willard Ramey.

He is survived by two sons, Roy Ernest Ramey and wife Jodie of Keaton, Kentucky and Jerry Lee Ramey of Sitka, Kentucky; two daughters, Brenda Kaye Howard of Sitka, Kentucky and Carrie Sue Music and husband John of Oil Springs, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Dolphis Ramey of Morgan County, Kentucky; six sisters, Inis Marie Boggs and Ruby Blanton both of Sitka, Kentucky, Mary Ramey and Susan Roberta Ramey both of Blaine, Kentucky, Nora Ellen Clark of Thelma, Kentucky and Carrie Jeaneane White of Richmond, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Rodney King and Josh Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2021 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
