Ruby Carol Butcher Branham, age 86, of Boons Camp, passed away Tuesday morning, October 27, 2026.

She was born on August 9, 1940, in Boons Camp, to the late Earl and Janie Crum Butcher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell “Tom” Branham.

She is survived by one son, Terry (Carla) Branham of Williamsport; two daughters: Denise (Charles) Mina of Boons Camp, Jackie (Samuel) Peoples of Lexington; one brother: Freddie (Dot) Butcher of Boons Camp; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Ruby was a member of the Little Friendship United Baptist Church and was a retired Teacher’s Aide for the Johnson County School System.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Little Friendship United Baptist Church, with Glen Penix and Willis Staton officiating. Interment will follow at the Wells Family Cemetery in Boons Camp. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M., and at the Little Friendship United Baptist Church on Friday from 9 A.M. until the funeral service at 11 A.M.
