Ruby Lee Perry Wells, age 100, of West Van Lear, passed away Thursday morning, April 9, 2026, at the Cabell Health Care Center in Culloden, WV.

She was born on October 22, 1925, in Johnson County, KY, to the late Arthur and Elva Crum Perry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Aron Wells; two sons: Richard Arthur Wells, Mark Edward Wells; two brothers: Harold Thomas Perry, James Arthur Perry; four sisters: Ruth Perry, Sally Lyons, Ann Marie Holzhouse, Audrey Grace.

Ruby is survived by two sons: George Anthony (Lorraine) Wells of Hanson, KY, John Paul (Patricia) Wells of West Van Lear; one daughter: Teresa Lynn Wells (Randy) Wright of Hurricane, WV; one brother: Michael Allen Perry of Michigan; one sister: Judy Perry of Florida; along with twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of the funeral services at 2:30 P.M.
