Ruby Jenkins King Yates, age 90, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2021 at her home.

Ruby was born August 10, 1930 in Morgan County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Daniel Jenkins and Sarah Evaline Jenkins Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Thomas Yates; two sons, David Lee King and Johnny Gene King, one daughter, Monnie Marie Castle, and two sisters, Avonelle Jenkins and Mary Lou Jenkins.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy (Kay) King of Staffordsville, Kentucky; two daughters, Ruth (Charlie) White and Irma Jean Higginbotham both of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2021 in the Highland Memorial Park Chapel with Tobe Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Highland Memorial Park Chapel from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
