Ruth Meade Blair, age 87, of Grassy Creek, Staffordsville, KY passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at her home.

Ruth was born April 27, 1933, in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Paris Meade and Nora Burchett Meade. She is preceded in death by her husband James W. Blair, three brothers, Ruby Meade, Carl Meade, and Ray Meade, and one sister Annabelle Stambaugh.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Blair of Staffordsville, KY; one brother, Clyde Meade (Dorothy) of Michigan along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with James Kelly Caudill officiating.  Burial will follow at Richmond Cemetery, Route 40 East, Paintsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
