Ruth Bowling, age 86, of Hager Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at CAMC Medical Center.

Ruth was born April 14, 1938 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Tommy Allen Wells and Thelma Hyden Wells. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Howard, daughter, Lana Joy Sparks and brother, Bobby Wells.

She is survived by one son, Chris Bowling of Oil Springs, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Michael Sparks of Irvine, Kentucky, Kristen Bowling and Matthew Bowling both of Oil Springs, Kentucky; and three sisters, Doris Sulliven and Wanda Stanaford both of Ohio and Glenda Hill of London, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with B Joe Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
