Samuel Dee Arms, age 76, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Sam was born March 17, 1948 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Raymond Arms and Hester Belle Blair Arms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Raymond Arms and Keith Marcus Arms.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Loschert Arms; one son, Christopher Dee Arms of Leander, Kentucky; one step son, James Blanton of Leander, Kentucky; two sisters, Sharon Lee (Kenny) Bellar of Staffordsville, Kentucky and Sandra Lynn May of Thelma, Kentucky; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, two nephews, and four nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Aaron Penix and Joe Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 and 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
