Sandra Kay O'Brian Bowens, age 65, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Mt. Manor of Paintsville.

Sandra was born February 14, 1961 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Richard Lee O'Brian and Alma Blevins O'Brian. IN addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Bowens, two grandchildren, Zachary Nathaniel Spradlin and Bradley Isiah Spradlin, one sister and five brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Tonya Lee Palmer (Shawn); one granddaughter, Chelsey Raye Spradlin; three brothers, Henry O'Brian (Brenda), Nicky O'Brian, and Ricky O'Brian (Penny); and two sisters, Bethel O'Brian (Don Stone) and Dona Poe (Todd Flowers).

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2026 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Nick O'Brian and Tracy Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow at Jayne Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Friday, May 1, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
