Sara Hopson Blair, age 75, died Monday August 3rd at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Sara is survived by her husband Ronnie D. Blair of Lexington, KY; her daughter Tara Minix of Paintsville and son James R. "JR" Hopson of Lexington; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many beloved cousins. She is also survived by three sisters Melinda Wheeler of Verona, Amanda Castaneda of Greenwood, IN and Jan Fry of Huntington, WV.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles O. "Buzzy" Wheeler Jr., Jeanne Miller Wheeler and sister Jennifer Lind Wheeler.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2026 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Friday, August 7, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
