Thelma Jean McKenzie, age 82, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at her home.

Thelma was born April 27, 1940 in West Virginia, daughter of the late Stewart and Ida Mae Centers Skeens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Marion McKenzie, one daughter, one grandson, Michael Dean McKenzie, one daughter, Freda Mae Davis, two brothers, Arthur Skeens and Darrell Skeens.

She is surviced by two sons, Franklin Lovone McKenzie of Crockett, Kentucky and Stanley Carter McKenzie of Elliott County, Kentucky; two sister, Lillian Blanton of Paintsville, Kentucky and Sylvia Cantrell of Flat Gap, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, Martha, Kentucky with Robert Blanton and Gary Blanton. Friends may visit the Elizabeth Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2022.
