Thurman Gale Salyers, age 68, of Nippa, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at King's Daughters Medical Center.

Thurman was born November 11, 1952 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Simmie Salyers and Ethel Tackett Salyers.

He is survived by his wife Anna Cantrell Salyers whom he married on June 26, 1993; one son, Shawn Salyers of Flat Gap, Kentucky; two daughters, Glenda Salyers of Columbus, Ohio and Shonda Napier of Miamisburg, Ohio; one sister, Rita Cantrell of Staffordsville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Dawn Salyers, Breanna Cozart, Paige Cozart, Shawn Salyers, Jr., Jacob Salyers, and Madison Salyers; two step grandchildren, Abigail Napier and Garrett Napier; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Steve Rose and Michael Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021.
