Timothy Dean McKenzie, age 72, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Paintsville ARH.

Timothy was born September 5, 1949 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Dillard McKenzie and Anna Castle McKenzie. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Edward McKenzie, Clyde Marshall McKenzie, Bill McKenzie, and Ray McKenzie, and three sisters, Ruthie Selvage, Christine Bayes, and Dorothy Fannin.

He is survived by his wife, Lieda Patrick McKenzie; one daughter, Tracie Carpenter of Marion, Ohio; two brothers, Danny McKenzie of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Paul Douglas McKenzie of Nippa, Kentucky; one sister, Brenda Estep of Berea, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Ryan Dean (Myranda) Dye and Lyndsey (Scott) Dye all of Marion, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Makaylee Dye, Conner Dye, Nataleigh Dye, Jordan Dye, and Kaydance Hall; one step daughter, Melissa Mosley of Blaine, Kentucky; one step son, Scottie Caudill of Paintsville, Kentucky; four step grandchildren, T.J. Johnston, Breanna Ratliff, Claire Caudill, and Seth Caudill; three great grandchildren, Natalie Ratliff, Allie Ratliff and Laynie Ratliff; nieces and nephews, Duane Fraley, Kimber Fraley, Caden Fraley, David Fraley. Christian Fraley, Brittnay Stewart, Adam McKenzie, Jospeh McKenzie, Ryan McKenzie, Kimberly Bell, Anthony McKenzie, and Thomas McKenzie; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Larry Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the Staffordsville Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 and 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022.
