Timothy Layne Music, age 59, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at UK Healthcare, Lexington, Kentucky.

Tim was born August 11, 1961 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Leonard Music and Viola Ratliff Music. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother Johnny Music.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri Murray Music; two sons, Katlin Music (Perrin) of Indianapolis, IN, Chris Johnson (Kelly) of Flat Gap, KY; one daughter, Kayla Bauman (Ben) of Decatur, IN; three brothers, Leo Music (Tootie) of Paintsville, KY, Jimmy Music (Kathy Jo) of Lowmansville, KY, Donald Music (Tina) of Richmond, KY; two sisters, Betty Royse of Paintsville, KY, Barbara (Greg) Baker of Franklin, OH; one sister-in-law, Jennifer Music of Winchester, KY and 8 grandchildren McKinley, Elliete, Jennison, Hannah, Jovie, Gavin, Ian, Rosie and along with several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Seth Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Private visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2020 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.

Per the Governor's mandates, anyone attending the Private Visitation, Funeral service, Memorial service, or Graveside/Committal services are limited to 25 people total and face covering of some type required for everyone.
