Tom Nichols, age 70, of Keaton, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home.

Tom was born October 16, 1952 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Edward and Rusha Witten Nichols. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Rita Allen.

He is survived by one son, William Thomas Nichols and wife Melissa of Flat Gap, Kentucky; two daughters, Andraya Preston and husband Guthrey of Oil Springs, Kentucky and Alena Hughes and husband Chad of Staffordsville, Kentucky; one brother, Carl Nichols of New Port News, Virginia; one sister, Dianna Carr of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Rebekah Preston and Dylan Preston.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with B Joe Hill officiating.  Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
