Ugonda Hannah Pennington, age 79, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at her residence.

Born October 19, 1945 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Hager Josephine Scott Hannah. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one infant son, Dewain Pennington; one grandson, Daniel Clay Pennington; five brothers, Steve Hannah, Howard Hannah, Cubbie Hannah, Jack Hannah, and Gib Hannah; three sisters, Brenda Luger, and infant sisters, Mary Hannah and Retta Hannah.

She is survived by her loving children, Doris (Mike) Walker of Columbia, Kentucky, Danny (Glenia) Pennington of Hager Hill, Kentucky, Donnie Pennington of Staffordsville, Kentucky, and Diane Howard of Volga, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Misty Pennington, Christal (Bryan) Blevins, Amanda (Dylan) Hayes, and Allison Pennington; six great-grandchildren, Jacob Daniel Pennington, Brayden Blevins, Cameron Douglas Vance, Brennan Blevins, Maliah Jade Vance, Beau Westley Hayes, and one on the way; one brother, Scottie (Marty) Hannah of Paintsville, Kentucky; three sisters, Virginia (Troy) Salyers of Paintsville, Kentucky, Vicki (Mike) Castle of Thealka, Kentucky, Grindle (James) Hitchcock of Hager Hill, Kentucky; two sister-in-laws, Linda Hannah of Salyersville, Kentucky and Leona Hannah of Swamp Branch, Kentucky; and a host of other family members and special friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Joe Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, December 2, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
