Vencil Skaggs, age 74, of Denver, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky.

Vencil was born October 7, 1947 in Denver, Kentucky to the late Leander and Flossie Lewis Skaggs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin Skaggs, Neil Skaggs and Roe Skaggs and one sister, Madge Sheffield.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Deloris Stamper Skaggs; two sons, Vencil Lee Skaggs and wife Janet of Flat Gap, Kentucky and Danny Skaggs and wife Tiffany of Denver, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Lee, Apryl, Cole and Holden Skaggs; two great grandchildren, Nehemiah Skaggs and Abigail Click; one brother, Cecil Skaggs and wife Nelva of Denver, Kentucky; one sister, Anna Jones and husband Willis of Fairborn, Ohio; and a host of other family and friends.

Vencil was a longtime Paintsville business owner of Johnson County Glass. He loved working hard, being outdoors and spending time with his family that will sorely miss him.

Private funeral services were held and burial was in the Skaggs Family Cemetery, Lower Twin Branch, Denver, Kentucky.
