Verlillie Hall Rice, age 81, of Oil Springs, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center.

Verlillie was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis C. Hall and Mary Williams Hall; her husband, Payne Rice, Sr.; two sons Roger Dean Joseph and Kevin Rice; one step-son James Fred Rice; seven brothers, John Arthur Hall, Benny Edgar Hall, Virgil Hall, Eddie Marvin, Junior Hall, Ranzie Dover Hall and William Hersell Hall; four sister Lola Mae Howard, Ollie Evagene Slone, Mintie Josephine Myers and Dorothy Ilene Hinton.

She is survived by one son Robin (Teresa) Joseph; one daughter Terry Lynn (Steve) Cantrell; daughter-in-law Kaye Joseph; two step-sons Payne (Vicky) Rice Jr and Phillip (Fran Kelsey) Rice; six step-daughters, Edna Mae (Lonnie) Dunn, Joyce Reed, Maxine Yates, Debbie (Rodney) Sowards, Jody (Clarence) Music, Georgia (Perry) Music; three brothers Robert Hall, Richard Hall and Roger Hall; five grandchildren, Paula (Brian) Arms, Brandy (Mark) McKenzie, Jeremy (Natasha) Joseph, Julianna (Richard) Bravo and Anthony (Heather) Cantrell; ten great grandchildren ; a and host of step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church where she enjoyed going to listen to the word of God and singing His praises. She looked forward to pie and cake making time which they entire community and neighborhood loved.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church, Oil Springs, Kentucky with Bruce Aaron Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Rice-Yates Cemetery, Oil Springs, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 pm. and Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
