Visitation: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home and Friday, February 23, 2024 at Southside Free Will Baptist 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  .

Burial: Highland Memorial Park , Staffordsville, Kentucky

Viola Rose Stapleton Castle, age 86 , of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 20 , 2024 at Paintsville ARH.

Viola was born November 14, 1937 in Berry County, Missouri, daughter of the late Raymond Dale Stapleton and Margie  Stapleton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ermal S. Castle; one son, Michael Dale Conley; three brothers James W. Stapleton, Raymond Stapleton and Jerald Thomas Stapleton; two sisters, Barbara McFarland and Mary Swafford.

She is survived by one Step-son, Hershel D. Castle of Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Amber Michele Conley Hensley;  one sister, Janet Hemphill of Shellknob, Missouri; one step-grandchild, Jeffrey Castle; two great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at Southside Free Will Baptist, with Tim York and Larry Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024 and  Friday, February 23, 2024 at Southside Free Will Baptist from11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. .
