Virginia "Jenny" Carol Hannah Salyers, age 81, of Swamp Branch, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at her home.

Jenny was born December 4, 1943 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Raymond Hannah and Josephine Hager Hannah. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene Compton; one grandson, Ennie Allen Owens; five brothers, Steve Hannah, Howard Hannah, Cubbie Hannah, Jack Hannah, and Gib Hannah; and four sisters, Brenda Luger, Ugonda Pennington and infant sisters, Mary Hannah and Retta Hannah.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Franklin Salyers; four sons, Ricky Fairchild of Paintsville, Kentucky, Randy (Barbara) Fairchild of Wabash, Indiana, Ron (Brenda) Fairchild of Stambaugh, Kentucky, Troy Michael "Mike" (Sandra) Salyers of Georgetown, Kentucky; one daughter, Darlene (Terry) Bowling of Van Lear, Kentucky; one brother, Scottie (Marti) Hannah of Swamp Branch, Kentucky; two sisters, Grindle (James) Hitchcock of Colista, Kentucky and Vickie (Mike) Castle of Thealka, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jason Raymond Owens, Rebekah Fairchild, Rachelle Fairchild, Emily Simpson, and Aaron Fairchild; two great grandchildren, Kennan Pike and Blakely Fairchild; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Hannah of Salyersville, Kentucky and Leona Hannah of Swamp Branch, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Joe Scott and Paul Wayne Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
