Virginia Ruth Puckett, age 60, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at her home.

Virginia was born January 10, 1961 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Russell Griffith and Avious Inez Lyon Griffith. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one son, Rockie Dean Williams; two sisters, Sarah Griffith and Joanna Griffith.

She is survived by her mother, Avious Inez Griffith of Flat Gap, KY; four daughters, Roxannia Williams (Harry VanHoose), Amy Williams both of Paintsville, KY , Nicole Puckett of  Flat Gap, KY and Madison Jarrell (Alex Cantrell) of Clearfield, KY; two brothers, David Griffith and John Griffith both of Flat Gap, KY; two sisters, Susan Kestner (Sam) of Flat Gap, KY and Linda Preece (Brad) of Pilgrim, KY  and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Delbert Music and Elzie Kestner officiating.  Burial will follow in the Skaggs Cemetery, Martha, KY.   Friends may call at Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, July 12, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
