Wayne T. Morgan, Jr., age 87, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 at Prestonsburg Health Care, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Wayne was born January 9, 1938 in Roanoke, Virginia, a son of the late Wayne and Jane Morgan. He was affectionately known by his parents and sisters as "Tommy". He was a veteran having served six years in the US Navy. After retirement, his love for golf led him to Stonecrest Golf Club where he designed and built the Toptracer Driving Range.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty Castle Morgan; four children, Kathy Jackson Parsons (Vince), Rod Morgan, Rhonda Morgan, and Michelle Osborne (Jeff); seven grandchildren, Tyler Fleet Johnson (Kari), Zachary Oliver Dingus (Veronica), Meaghan Headon, Callie Corrigan, Caleb Owens, Heather Osborne (Jacob), and Rod Wayne Morgan; four great grandchildren, three sisters, Shirley Morgan, Barbara Vandergriff, and Judith Myers (Rodney); and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, as well as many lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Wayne Price officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025.
