Wendell J. Kelly, age 80, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

Wendell was born on February 27, 1944, in Johnson County, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lunda Kelly and Mona Evans Kelly; one daughter, Lisa Mollett; one infant brother, Lemuel Kelly; one sister, Wanda Holbrook; and one grandchild, Jerry Wayne Kelly.

He is survived by his loving wife Ruie Sue Kelly of Flat Gap, Kentucky; three sons, Jeff (Jeanne) Kelly of Staffordsville, Kentucky; Dave (Debbie) Kelly, and Jerry (Patsy) Kelly, both of Flat Gap, Kentucky; two brothers, Marlin Kelly, of Dayton, Ohio, and Dale Kelly, of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Chad Boswell, Scott Kelly, Lyndsay Cantrell, Brady Kelly, Andrew Kelly; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Christian  Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Skaggstown Cemetery, Keaton, Kentucky. Friends may visit Christian Union Church, Monday, September 23, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m.
