William “Phil” Philip Lewis, age 79, of Boons Camp, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026 at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Phil was born November 6, 1946, in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Philip Fontaine Lewis and Laura Crum Lewis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Prater Lewis; son, Brad Lewis of Boons Camp, Kentucky; Kimberly Lewis of Boons Camp, Kentucky and Kristi (Jerry) Meek of Whitehouse, Kentucky; brother, Stephen Fontaine (Ilene) Lewis of Cookeville, Tennessee; sister, Christine (James) Lewis Price of Paintsville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Derek Cole Lovins, Jarrad Meek, Lauren Hannah, Madison Lewis, Conner Philip Lewis, Kallie and Keylei; and a host of great grandchildren.

Phil honorably served in the United States Army and was a heavy equipment operator.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Staffordsville Free Will Baptist Church with James Price officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Staffordsville Free Will Baptist Church Monday, October 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 21, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
