William David Pennington, age 69, of Van Lear, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at King's Daughter Medical Center.

William was born June 23, 1951 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Roscoe and Mescal Brown Pennington. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Pennington and one sister, Dixie Martin.

He is survived by two sons, David Kelly (Rachel) Pennington of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Michael Jeffrey Pennington of Van Lear, Kentucky; his companion,, Patricia Disalvo; two brothers, Elwood Pennington of Staffordsville, Kentucky and Wayne Pennington of Flat Gap, Kentucky; three sisters, Carol Parker of Springfield, Ohio, Dollie Wright and Phyllis Saylor both of Flat Gap, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Ray Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
