Burial: Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky

Willie Dean Murray, age 88, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022.

Dean was born November 19, 1933 in Van Lear, Kentucky, son of the late Arthur B. Murray and Audrey Salyers Murray. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Hicks Murray and sister, Barbara Crutcher.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Sammons Murray; one daughter, Sheri Music of Sitka, Kentucky; one son, Gregory (Valerie) Murray of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; one grandson, Chris Johnson; and one great granddaughter McKinley Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Seth Carter officiating. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
